A-category courses

A-category

Power ≥ 40 kW and engine capacity ≥ 600 cm3 (during the training and passing the exam the motorcycle must be at least 40 kW).

Age restrictions for obtaining rights to category A – 24 years.

Class A training is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part consists of 10 lessons of 45 minutes each. (If there is a driver’s license of any category – 10 lessons of 45 minutes). The practical part is 10 lessons of 45 minutes each.

The training takes place on a motorcycle Yamaha MT07, ABS, 2015.

At the end of the course, you must pass the theory and driving exams (on the site and in the city). Upon successful passing of the exams, the driving school issues a certificate of completion of the motorcycle driving courses. After that, you can go to the
Department of Highways (Maanteeamet) and take exams.

A2-category

Motor power exceeds 25 kW and less than 35 kW; The engine’s volume exceeds 400 cm3 (during training and passing the exam).

Age restrictions for starting practical classes for the subcategory A2 – 17.5 years.
Age restrictions for obtaining rights to subcategory A2 – 18 years.
 
Training for the subcategory A2 is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part is 28 lessons of 45 minutes (with a driver’s license of any category
– 10 lessons of 45 minutes). The practical part is 10 lessons of 45 minutes each.
Training takes place on a motorbike Kawasaki ER5 – 35 kW.

A1-category

The power does not exceed 11 kW and the engine does not exceed 125 cm3. The training motorcycle should have an engine capacity of 75 – 125 cm3 (during training and passing the exam).

Age restrictions for starting practical classes for subcategory A1 are 15.5 years.
Age restrictions for obtaining rights to the subcategory A1 – 16 years.
 
Training for the subcategory A1 is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part is 28 lessons of 45 minutes each. The practical part is 10 lessons
of 45 minutes each.
Training takes place on a motorcycle Yamaha YBR 125 – 9 kW.
 

Equipment

Driving school provides all the necessary equipment for practical classes: helmets, knee pads, elbow pads, gloves, jackets, boots, etc.

Training site

The training ground is located in Tallinn at Calda 7, not far from the office of Maanteamet.
